Belize City- In commemoration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, which is being celebrated throughout the region. The Small Business Development Centre Belize (SBDCBelize), a unit of BELTRAIDE has launched a month of entrepreneurial activities throughout the month of November. The National Entrepreneurship Month is in line with BELTRAIDE’s mandate for enterprise and entrepreneurship.
The SBDCBelize team is currently traversing the country for the first of its kind, National Entrepreneurship Roadshow. The Roadshow is geared for schools within the three major regions of the country and addresses two of the centre’s pillars within the National Entrepreneurship Strategy: Mindset / Culture and, Education. The Entrepreneurship Labs are being conducted in Corozal Jr. College, Independence High School and Belize Rural High School where over 300 students will engage in an activity-based sensitization on the concept of entrepreneurship.
The Roadshow will be in at Corozal Jr. College on November 7th, Independence High School on November 8th and Belize Rural High School on November 10th between the hours of 8:00am to 12:00 noon.
Some of the other activities to commemorate the month include a Business Hackathon (Final Pitch November 24th) and an Entrepreneurial Symposium scheduled for November 30th.
